BREAKING: NFF names German Bruno Labbadia as the new Super Eagles coach

The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) has officially appointed German coach Bruno Labbadia as the new head coach of the Super Eagles, effective immediately.

The announcement was made in a tweet on Tuesday morning through the NFF’s X account, using the hashtag #thenff.

The statement reads, “The Nigeria Football Federation has confirmed reaching an agreement with German tactician Bruno Labbadia to assume the role of Head Coach for the Super Eagles, Nigeria’s senior men’s national team.”

According to the federation’s General Secretary, Dr. Mohammed Sanusi, “The NFF Executive Committee has endorsed the recommendation of its Technical and Development sub-committee to appoint Mr. Bruno Labbadia as the Head Coach of the Super Eagles.”

Labbadia succeeds Finidi George, becoming the 37th Head Coach of the Super Eagles following George’s resignation.
