Last Friday, the Nasarawa People’s Development Forum praised Akwa Ibom State Governor, Pastor Umo Bassey Eno, for introducing a N200 million interest-free loan facility for the Arewa community residing in Akwa Ibom State.
Governor Eno had recently announced the N200 million interest-free loan for the Arewa Community in the state.
Speaking in Lafia, the capital of Nasarawa State, during a reception honoring Hon. Ibrahim Iliya, the Special Assistant to the Akwa Ibom State Governor on Arewa Community, the group’s chairman, Hon. Buhari Musa Tunga, expressed pride in Governor Eno’s visionary leadership.
Tunga stated, “We are proud of your visionary approach to governance, particularly in relation to rural communities and their economies.”
He also urged the recipients of the Akwa Ibom State Governor’s N200 million interest-free loan to invest the funds wisely, to enhance their economic status, as well as that of Akwa Ibom State and the nation.
The honoree, Hon. Ibrahim Iliya, who is from Lafia Local Government Area of Nasarawa State, pledged to be an exemplary ambassador for Akwa Ibom State.
Iliya added, “I will work to ensure that the cordial relationship between the Arewa community and the various ethnic groups in Akwa Ibom State is maintained.”
