Following the announcement of the 2024 Edo State governorship election results at the collation center in Benin City, the state capital, on Sunday, NEWS REVIEW has compiled the results of the top three candidates so far.
These figures, as confirmed by the Independent National Electoral Commission, represent the outcomes for the candidates of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Monday Okpebholo; the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Asue Ighodalo; and the Labour Party (LP), Olumide Akpata.
The results are from 17 out of the 18 Local Government Areas in the state, with one remaining LGA yet to be collated.
As a result, the collation process is temporarily paused. The current results are as follows:
- APC: 275,329
- PDP: 220,892
- LP: 18,737
