Breaking: Akwa Ibom Governor Umo Eno Loses Wife

Mrs. Patience Umo Eno, the wife of Akwa Ibom State Governor, Pastor Umo Eno, has passed away.

The state’s Commissioner for Information, Ini Ememobong, announced her death in a statement released early Friday morning.

According to the commissioner, Mrs. Eno died in the presence of her family on September 26, 2024, at a hospital.

The statement, titled “Unexpected Sunset,” read: “With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Her Excellency, Pastor Mrs. Patience Umo Eno, the beloved wife of the Executive Governor of Akwa Ibom State, following a period of illness. She passed away peacefully on September 26, 2024, with her family by her side.

“The family submits to the will of God and seeks prayers and support during this difficult time.

“Further information will be provided by the family as needed, and they request privacy as they mourn their wife, mother, and grandmother.

“His Excellency, Governor Pastor Umo Eno, expresses his gratitude to those who have supported the first family during this challenging time and reassures the citizens that despite this profound personal loss, his commitment to serving the state remains steadfast.”
