Nigerian singer Habeeb Okikiola, widely known as Portable, has offered words of advice to controversial social media personality Idris Okuneye, also called Bobrisky, following Bobrisky’s recent expression of suicidal thoughts.

Portable urged Bobrisky to “turn away from sinful behavior” and reconsider his lifestyle choices. This advice followed Bobrisky’s public display of despair, where he revealed suicidal feelings after a social media influencer, Martins Otse, known as VeryDarkMan, released an incriminating audio recording.

The recording accused Bobrisky of paying ₦15 million in bribes to certain officials from the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) to have his money laundering charges dropped.

In response, the EFCC invited both VeryDarkMan and Bobrisky for questioning over the bribery claims. The Commission’s Chairman, Ola Olukoyede, also initiated an investigation into the alleged bribery involving Bobrisky and EFCC officers.

Following the public accusations, Bobrisky took to Instagram on Thursday to express frustration over the situation and shared his struggles with suicidal thoughts in a now-deleted post.

Reacting to this, Portable advised Bobrisky, via Instagram, to reconsider suicide and instead seek redemption by repenting from sinful ways. He encouraged Bobrisky to seek God’s forgiveness and embrace a path toward personal growth and healing.

“Bobrisky, life is risky. God doesn’t want sinners to perish. Tell him to repent. Damnation awaits any sinner who does not repent. If you die, you will go to hell. Ask God for forgiveness. God does not want a sinner to die.”

Portable emphasized the importance of seeking forgiveness, suggesting that Bobrisky could find peace and enjoy life if he repents and turns to God.
