In a solemn tribute, President Bola Tinubu has rescheduled the Federal Executive Council (FEC) meeting originally set for Wednesday.
The decision, announced by his Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, follows the passing of Lt. General Taoreed Lagbaja, Chief of Army Staff, who died Tuesday night.
General Lagbaja, who led the Army since June 2023, was a respected figure in the Armed Forces. As a mark of respect, President Tinubu has directed that flags be flown at half-staff nationwide for seven days.
President Tinubu also extended his heartfelt condolences to General Lagbaja’s family and the Nigerian military, honoring the general’s dedicated service and wishing him eternal peace.
