“Yola Electricity Distribution Company Rolls Out 1,880 Free Prepaid Meters for Band A Customers”

Yola Electricity Distribution Company (YEDC) has announced the rollout of 1,880 prepaid meters to Band A customers under the Meter Asset Funds (MAF) scheme.

The initiative, which targets customers who stopped receiving electricity subsidies in April, aims to provide accurate billing and enhance customer satisfaction.

The meters, approved by the Nigerian Electricity Regulatory Commission, include 1,500 single-phase and 380 three-phase units.

Installation will take place from November 18 to November 30, 2024, at no cost to the customers. YEDC urges Band A customers to cooperate with approved vendors during the installation process.

This effort is part of the nationwide Presidential Metering Initiative, launched to accelerate metering across the country.
