Ondo Police Nab Suspected Kidnappers Linked to APC Chieftain’s Murder

Akure, Ondo State – The Ondo State Police Command has made a significant breakthrough in the case of the late APC chieftain, Alaba Abe, who was kidnapped and murdered in April 2024. Two suspects, Mohammed Sheu (21) and Abubakar Umar (24), have been apprehended in connection with the crime.

The Special Anti-Kidnapping Unit of the command arrested the duo during a routine stop-and-search operation in November. Subsequent investigations revealed their involvement in various criminal activities, including kidnapping and armed robbery, across multiple states in Nigeria.

The suspects confessed to their role in Abe’s abduction and killing, as well as other heinous crimes. The police are currently working to apprehend the remaining members of the criminal gang.
