“Benue Police Nab Lecturer in Alleged Kidnapping Plot of Colleague’s Wife”

A lecturer at the Joseph Sarwuan Tarka University of Agriculture, Makurdi, Dr. Ichor Tersagh, has been arrested by Benue State Police for allegedly masterminding the abduction of his colleague’s wife, Mrs. Susan Anyagh.

The incident occurred last Saturday when Mrs. Anyagh was ambushed and kidnapped along Otukpo Road, Makurdi. The kidnappers reportedly collected N1.3 million from her, beat her unconscious, and abandoned her on a bush path.

However, a shocking twist emerged when Mrs. Anyagh regained consciousness. She recounted to authorities that she saw her husband’s colleague, Dr. Tersagh, near the abduction scene and pleaded for help, but he allegedly turned his back and walked away.

Police investigations revealed that Dr. Tersagh may have orchestrated the kidnapping. He was arrested, and the case is currently under investigation.

Mr. Paul Anyagh, the husband of the victim and chairman of the Academic Staff Union of Universities at JOSTUM, confirmed the incident and is cooperating with the police investigation.
