Saka Sidelines Arsenal with Hamstring Woe

Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta confirmed today that star winger Bukayo Saka will be sidelined for “many weeks” after suffering a hamstring injury during their 5-1 victory over Crystal Palace.

The news comes as a significant blow to the Gunners’ title aspirations, with Saka a key player in their attacking arsenal. This injury follows closely on the heels of Raheem Sterling’s knee injury, who is also expected to be out for an extended period.

While acknowledging the severity of the injury, Arteta remains optimistic about Saka’s return before the end of the season. He emphasized the importance of this setback as a learning experience for the young player.

Arsenal will now have to navigate a challenging period without their talismanic winger. Arteta stated he is already exploring tactical solutions to cope with Saka’s absence, drawing on past experiences of overcoming significant injury setbacks to other key players.

The Gunners face Ipswich Town at home on Friday as they continue their Premier League campaign, currently sitting in third place, six points behind leaders Liverpool.
