Femi Adebayo’s “Seven Doors” Inspired by Real-Life King

Actor and filmmaker, Femi Adebayo, has unveiled the intriguing backstory behind his latest cinematic masterpiece, “Seven Doors.” In an interview with Saturday Beats, Adebayo revealed that the film’s captivating narrative was born from the personal experiences of a king he deeply admired.

“Preserving our rich cultural heritage is paramount,” emphasized Adebayo. “By weaving our cultural tapestry into compelling films, we ensure that future generations can cherish and learn from these invaluable traditions.” He shared that his close relationship with this particular king deeply impacted him, providing the foundation for the “Seven Doors” concept. “Many perceive kings as demigods, which they are to an extent,” Adebayo explained, “but we must remember that they are human beings with emotions and challenges. ‘Seven Doors’ delves into the multifaceted journey of a king, both before and after ascending the throne.”

Beyond its cultural significance, “Seven Doors” is a poignant love story. Adebayo passionately stated, “Love conquers all. The film explores the powerful force of love amidst cultural conflicts, ultimately demonstrating its unwavering triumph.”

Addressing the much-discussed kissing scene with his co-star, Chioma Chukwuka, Adebayo clarified, “I was simply embodying the character and bringing the script to life.” He further highlighted the intense scene where chiefs were forced to kneel, a powerful moment despite his absence.
