Lagos Launches E-Registration for 2025 Basic Education Placement Test
Lagos State has kicked off electronic registration for the 2025 Universal Basic Education (UBE) by Continuous Assessment Scores and Placement Test. This move is a key step in the state’s commitment to providing high-quality education for all its citizens.
The registration period, as announced by Mr. Orunsolu Adebayo, Director of the Lagos State Examinations Board, will run from January 27th to April 18th, 2025.
Eligibility for the test is limited to primary six pupils in both public and approved private primary schools within Lagos State. While registration is free for public school students, those from approved private schools will be required to pay a fee of N5,000 per candidate through the Lagos State Central Billing System.
A significant change this year is the inclusion of Yoruba Language as a subject in the Placement Test, designed to assess pupils’ knowledge and critical thinking abilities.
Mr. Adebayo assured all stakeholders, including parents, that the registration process will be smooth and efficient, with no child left behind.
