5 Injured in Third Mainland Bridge Accident Involving Bus and SUV

Five individuals sustained injuries in a collision involving a commercial bus and a Toyota Highlander on the Third Mainland Bridge near the University of Lagos Waterfront on Tuesday morning.

The Lagos State Traffic Management Authority (LASTMA) confirmed the incident via an X post, stating that their officials, along with members of the public, promptly rescued the injured and ensured they received medical attention.

Traffic flow was briefly disrupted following the accident, but LASTMA is currently working to clear the scene and restore normal traffic movement.

The agency urged motorists to prioritize road safety by driving cautiously, adhering to speed limits, and conducting regular vehicle checks.
