Tems Clinches Second Grammy Win, Takes Home Best African Music Performance at the 67th Annual Grammy Awards

Nigerian singer Temilade Openiyi, better known as Tems, clinched the Best African Music Performance award at the 67th Grammy Awards. Her song “Love Me JeJe” triumphed over tracks by notable artists such as Yemi Alade, Asake featuring Wizkid, Chris Brown featuring Davido and Lojay, and Burna Boy.

This victory marks Tems’ second Grammy win. She was also nominated in two other categories: Best Global Music Album for Born in the Wild and Best R&B Song for “Burning.”

The 67th Grammy Awards took place at the Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles, with South Africa’s Tyla winning the inaugural Best African Music Performance award in 2024 for her hit “Water.”
