“Funke Akindele Talks Love, Passion, and Success—Says She Loves Deeply, Won’t Give Up on Love, and Stays Committed to Nollywood’s Growth”

Renowned actress Funke Akindele has shared insights into her passionate approach to love, revealing that she is deeply affectionate and goes the extra mile for her partner.

In a recent interview, Akindele said, “I am a lover girl and I love seriously. Because I am a bit of an extremist, I go the extra mile. I can wake up tomorrow and buy my spouse a car. The green light for me is someone who pampers me and checks on me genuinely. I love a real and positive guy. I also love intelligent men.”

Reflecting on her personal journey, the Everybody Loves Jenifa star admitted there was a time she nearly gave up on love. Offering advice to those in similar situations, she encouraged patience, saying, “Don’t give up on anything in life but look at the brighter side. If you have given up on love, take a chill pill and don’t force it. Don’t look for it; it will find you.”

Addressing concerns about Nollywood’s storytelling, Akindele firmly disagreed with critics, asserting, “We are creatives and we tell stories from different angles. There is no bad story; it’s about execution. My ability to tell stories my way is my economic power, and I am not tired of Nollywood stories.”

On the secret to her success, she emphasized consistency and understanding her audience. “To be outstandingly successful, you need to put in hard work, not just smart work,” she concluded.
