Woman Arrested for Brutally Stabbing Two Ladies with a Broken Bottle in Ogun State, Fleeing the Scene and Evading Arrest for Nearly Two Weeks Before Capture
Operatives of the Ogun State Police Command have arrested a woman, identified as Deborah, for allegedly stabbing two women, Adebayo Omokehinde and Kolapo Aishat, during a violent altercation in the Aiyetoro area of the state.
Police spokesperson Omolola Odutola confirmed the arrest, stating that Deborah fled the scene after the attack on January 30, 2025, but was apprehended nearly two weeks later, on February 12.
According to Odutola, the suspect used a broken bottle to stab the victims multiple times on their breasts, hands, eyes, and other body parts, leaving them critically injured. Following her arrest, Deborah reportedly confessed to the crime during interrogation.
Medical reports were issued for the victims, directing them to a general hospital for urgent treatment. The police have assured that the suspect will face prosecution once investigations are concluded.
