Lagos Police Arrest 35 Suspected Traffic Robbers in Intensive Weeklong Crackdown from Ajah to Elemoro, Ensure Swift Arraignment

The Lagos State Police Command has arrested 35 suspects linked to traffic robberies in a series of tactical operations spanning Ajah to Elemoro.

Confirming the arrests on Saturday, the command’s spokesperson, CSP Benjamin Hundeyin, stated that the suspects were apprehended in coordinated raids across the Ajah axis, including Lekki Phase 1 and Epe.

Among those arrested on February 24 are Alao Oluwafemi, Adeshina Akinrinde, Udoh John, Afolabi Kola, Daniel Augustine, and several others. The crackdown resulted in the capture of more suspects throughout the week, bringing the total to 35.

Hundeyin emphasized that the operations were part of a broader effort by tactical teams stationed across the state to curb violent crimes. He assured that similar enforcement actions would continue in other crime-prone areas.

All 35 suspects have since been arraigned.
