Katsina Police Arrest 144 Suspects for 128 Crimes, Neutralize Four Bandits, Rescue 105 Kidnap Victims, Recover Stolen Animals, Firearms, and Motorcycles in Major Security Operation
KATSINA – The Katsina State Police Command arrested 144 suspects linked to 128 reported crimes in February, according to the Command’s Public Relations Officer (PPRO), DSP Abubakar Aliyu.
Speaking at a press briefing on Saturday, Aliyu detailed the crimes, which included armed robbery, culpable homicide, kidnapping, and rape. He further disclosed that police operatives neutralized four suspected bandits, rescued 105 kidnapped victims, and recovered 13 rustled animals.
Additionally, security forces seized four locally made guns, 13 pump-action cartridges, and five motorcycles.
“Our achievements are a testament to our personnel’s tireless efforts in ensuring a safer Katsina State,” Aliyu stated, assuring continued collaboration with communities and stakeholders to sustain crime-fighting efforts.
