LASU Graduate Found Dead in Boyfriend’s Locked Apartment After Late-Night Visit; Neighbors Recall Frequent Fights as Suspect Flees, Police Launch Manhunt

LAGOS – A yet-to-be-identified man has absconded after his girlfriend, Adija, a graduate of Lagos State University (LASU), was found dead in his apartment in the Meiran area of Lagos.

According to reports, the tragic incident occurred on February 26 when Adija visited her boyfriend following his request. Concerned family members, unable to reach her by phone, went to check on her, only to discover her lifeless body covered with a duvet after forcing entry into the locked apartment.

An Instagram user, @Eyeopener, revealed that the couple had been in a toxic relationship since Adija’s 100-level days. Neighbors, who frequently heard arguments from the apartment, dismissed the noise that night, unaware of the impending tragedy.

Meanwhile, Lagos State Police Command spokesperson Benjamin Hundeyin confirmed that efforts are ongoing to apprehend the suspect.
