“Ijoba Lande’s Estranged Wife, Darasimi, Denies Infidelity Allegations, Says She Only Sat on Baba Tee’s Lap During ‘Truth or Dare’ Game”
Darasimi, the estranged wife of comedian Ganiu Morufu, popularly known as Ijoba Lande, has addressed the allegations of infidelity leveled against her.
Speaking during an interview with socialite Esabod and other TikTokers on Sunday, Darasimi clarified that she only sat on popular Yoruba Nollywood actor Babatunde Tayo’s lap during a “Truth or Dare” game initiated by her friend, Marygold.
Her response comes after Lande, in a viral interview, accused her of being involved with at least 21 men in the entertainment industry, including Baba Tee, whom he specifically mentioned in an Instagram post and the viral interview.
However, Darasimi denied cheating on her husband and insisted that infidelity was not the reason for their separation.
Recounting the incident, she said, “The first time I met Baba Tee was in July last year when Marygold invited me to his house because she wanted to invite him to her movie launch. Baba Tee didn’t know I was Lande’s wife. We greeted each other, and Marygold asked for alcohol. Since there was none in the house, she and Baba Tee’s driver went to buy some, leaving me and Baba Tee in the living room. We didn’t talk until they returned.
“When Marygold came back, she suggested we play ‘Truth or Dare.’ I was hesitant, but she encouraged me. I then told Baba Tee that I was Lande’s wife, and we started the game. As the game progressed, Marygold stripped naked and performed oral sex on Baba Tee. By then, I had already taken ten shots of alcohol while Marygold and Baba Tee were smoking marijuana. At one point, Marygold dared Baba Tee to have sex with me in a ‘doggy’ position, and he went to get a condom.
“When he returned, I told him I wouldn’t allow that but agreed to sit on him. We then asked Marygold to turn to the wall so she wouldn’t watch us. I only sat on his lap; nothing happened.”
She stressed that Lande was aware she did not sleep around and challenged him to provide evidence to support his allegations.
Darasimi added, “I won’t disclose the real reason we broke up for now due to personal reasons, but it wasn’t because of infidelity.”
Meanwhile, Baba Tee admitted to having a brief sexual encounter with Darasimi, claiming that it happened under the influence of alcohol during the “Truth or Dare” game with Marygold. The 45-year-old actor later issued a public apology to Lande in a Facebook post on Monday.
He wrote, “I am deeply sorry from the bottom of my heart, brother Lande. Deep how Dara became Lande’s wife without my knowledge… Hmmm. I fear women.”
