NCPC Boss Bishop Stephen Adegbite Encourages Pilgrims to Remain Committed, Uphold Nigeria’s Image, and Pray for National Progress as 12th Batch Departs for Israel and Jordan

Abuja — Bishop Stephen Adegbite, Executive Secretary of the Nigerian Christian Pilgrim Commission (NCPC), has called on intending pilgrims to remain dedicated to their journey and contribute to Nigeria’s progress.

Speaking during the departure of the 12th batch of Christian pilgrims to Israel and Jordan from Abuja and Lagos, Adegbite emphasized the need for discipline and patriotism. The group, which included pilgrims from Ogun State and consular officers, was urged to conduct themselves with dignity and uphold Nigeria’s image.

“Pilgrimage is a sacred journey, and we must approach it with reverence and respect,” he stated, warning against any actions that could tarnish the country’s reputation. He reaffirmed the NCPC’s zero-abscondment policy, discouraging pilgrims from abandoning their mission.

Adegbite also expressed his confidence in Nigeria’s potential, calling it “the best nation on earth,” and encouraged prayers for the success of the government’s Renewed Hope Agenda. He urged all participants to embrace the commission’s 2024 pilgrimage theme: “Pilgrimage of Renewed Hope for Total Restoration.”
