EFCC Arrests 21 Suspected Internet Fraudsters in Bauchi, Recovers Luxury Cars, High-End Gadgets, POS Machines, and Other Items in Major Crackdown

Operatives of the Gombe Zonal Directorate of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) have arrested 21 individuals suspected of internet fraud in Bauchi State.

According to a statement released on the commission’s official Facebook page on Monday, the arrests were made following credible intelligence linking the suspects to cybercrime activities in Kaure New Government Reservation Area and Awala, Maiduguri Road, Bauchi.

Recovered items include a BMW and Toyota Camry, three PlayStation 5 consoles, 30 high-end smartphones, a flat-screen TV, six POS machines, four iPads, and five laptops.

The EFCC confirmed that the suspects would face charges in court upon the completion of investigations.
