Kaduna Woman Files for Divorce, Citing Husband’s Excessive Sexual Demands, All-Night Encounters, and Physical Abuse
Kaduna, Nigeria – A 37-year-old housewife, Linda Stephen, has approached a Kaduna Customary Court, seeking a divorce from her husband, Felix Stephen, over his excessive sexual demands.
Linda, a resident of Ungwan Sunday, told the court on Tuesday that her six-year marriage had become unbearable due to her husband’s persistent sexual advances. She alleged that Felix often forced himself on her, sometimes for hours, and physically assaulted her whenever she refused.
The mother of two stated that she left their home three months ago and had since resisted pleas from relatives to return. “I can’t stand his excessive sexual urge. Even when I cry, he doesn’t stop,” she lamented.
In response, Felix admitted to his strong sexual appetite but pleaded for a chance to change. He told the court he was deeply in love with his wife and had made several efforts to reconcile, including involving family members.
Presiding over the case, Court President John Dauda adjourned the matter until May 6, 2025, for an update on reconciliation efforts, urging both parties to maintain peace.
