Tragedy on Third Mainland Bridge: One Killed in Lone Truck Crash

A lone accident on the Third Mainland Bridge in Lagos has claimed one life, according to the Lagos State Traffic Management Authority (LASTMA).

In a statement posted on its official X handle, LASTMA reported that the crash occurred Thursday night near the UNILAG Waterfront, heading inward Adekunle. The incident involved a loaded mini truck which apparently lost control and crashed.

As of the time of the report, the identity of the deceased victim had not been disclosed.

LASTMA confirmed that its officers were promptly deployed to the scene to manage traffic and reduce disruptions.

“Unfortunately, one casualty has been reported. Efforts are currently underway to recover the situation,” the agency stated.
