The Katsina State Police Command has arrested a 23-year-old housewife in connection with the death of her co-wife following a domestic dispute that turned fatal in Daura.
The incident happened on Saturday night behind Dadi Primary School in the Sabon Gari area of Daura town, Daura Local Government Area.
According to a statement issued by the command’s spokesperson, DSP Abubakar Sadiq, the victim, 30-year-old Zainab Lawal, was found in a pool of blood after being stabbed multiple times.

The report was filed around 11 p.m. by her husband, Nasir Yusuf, who said he returned home from the market to find his wife lifeless. Police operatives rushed Zainab to the Federal Medical Centre, Daura, where she was confirmed dead.
Following an investigation, the suspect, Rabi’a Labaran, was arrested and confessed to the crime, explaining that a misunderstanding led to a scuffle which ended in the fatal stabbing.
The Commissioner of Police, CP Bello Shehu, has urged the public to avoid domestic violence and to seek legal avenues for resolving disputes.
