Ethiopian Airlines, the largest carrier in Africa, has announced it will introduce an additional daily flight from Lagos starting July 1, giving Nigerian travelers more travel options.
According to the airline, the new service will create instant connections to several African and Asian destinations, significantly cutting down overall travel time. Passengers can now choose from four evening flights at 10:00 PM and three morning flights at 5:40 AM each week.

Speaking on the development, Mrs. Firiehiwot Mekonnen, Area Manager of Ethiopian Airlines in Nigeria, said, “We are offering these extra benefits to reward our loyal passengers as we provide more flights and options out of Lagos. These additional flights help us improve service delivery and reduce costs for travelers. Most of our passengers will now arrive at their destinations faster.”
The airline confirmed that the 14 weekly flights from Lagos come with more than just frequency. Passengers will enjoy increased baggage allowances specifically for routes to Mumbai, Delhi, Hyderabad, Madras, and Dubai and those enrolled in the airline’s loyalty program can earn double miles.
