Chelsea are set for a massive summer shake-up as new head coach Enzo Maresca prepares to oversee a potential exodus of up to 14 first-team players at Stamford Bridge.
Fresh from a fourth-place Premier League finish and a Europa Conference League triumph, the Blues have sealed a return to the Champions League. With Maresca now at the helm, the club is ready to back him in the transfer market — but not before trimming the squad.
According to The Guardian, several players have been put up for sale as Chelsea’s hierarchy looks to revamp the team. Winger Noni Madueke, who scored 11 goals this season and made his England debut, is reportedly among those available, with concerns over his development.
João Félix, signed permanently last year for £45 million after a successful loan, spent the latter part of the campaign on loan at AC Milan and is now also free to leave.
Both goalkeepers, Robert Sánchez and Djordje Petrović, are on the list, hinting at a possible goalkeeping overhaul.
Defenders Ben Chilwell, Wesley Fofana, Axel Disasi, Renato Veiga, and Trevoh Chalobah are also candidates for departure, with Chalobah’s future particularly uncertain after a near-exit last summer.
In midfield, Maresca is reportedly open to selling Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall, whom he brought from Leicester along with Carney Chukwuemeka and Lesley Ugochukwu.
Even Raheem Sterling and Christopher Nkunku, high-profile names in the squad, could be moved on if suitable offers arrive.
