The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has declared two more suspects wanted in connection with the alleged N1 billion cryptocurrency fraud tied to Crypto Bridge Exchange (CBEX).
In an official notice posted on its X (formerly Twitter) account yesterday, the commission named the suspects as Folashade Odelana and Bamidele Ayodele Abiodun. Their last known address is 17 Oremeta Street, Allen Avenue, Ikeja, Lagos.
The EFCC called on the public to provide useful information about the suspects’ whereabouts by contacting any of its offices across the country.
This latest announcement brings the total number of individuals declared wanted in the CBEX case to ten. In April 2025, users of the platform raised alarm after being unable to access or withdraw their funds, sparking public outcry.
Previously, the EFCC declared eight others wanted, including Adefowora Abiodun Olanipekun, Adefowora Oluwanisola, Emmanuel Uko, Seyi Oloyede, Johnson Okiroh Otieno, Israel Mbaluka, Joseph Michiro Kabera, and Serah Michiro. Arrest warrants have already been secured for six of them.
EFCC Chairman, Ola Olukoyede, assured victims that investigations and recovery efforts are ongoing. He revealed that a “reasonable amount” of money has been recovered so far and some arrests made. He reaffirmed the commission’s commitment to ensuring justice and recovering stolen funds.
