The Former Senate Leader and All Progressives Congress (APC) governorship candidate in Oyo State, Teslim Folarin, on Monday, expressed deep shock over the passing of the state party chairman, Isaac Omodewu, who died in the United States.
In a statement issued in Ibadan, Folarin said, “I received the news of the death of our state chairman, Omodewu, with deep shock. He passed away in the USA while receiving treatment. Omodewu was a dedicated, hardworking, and loyal leader of our party, as well as a devoted family man and friend who remained steadfast in his commitment to the party.
“His remarkable ability to organize and restructure the party, even amid significant challenges, was commendable. Under his leadership, the state APC achieved significant successes during the last general elections. He also played a crucial role in the party’s strong performance during the recent Local Government Elections, where APC fielded candidates in all 33 Local Government Areas for Chairmen and 351 wards for Councilors.”
Folarin added that both the party and he personally would greatly miss Omodewu’s leadership and dedication. He prayed for God Almighty to grant strength and comfort to Omodewu’s family, the state party members, and his friends during this difficult time.
