Social media influencer Verydarkman (VDM) has urged music icon Davido (David Adeleke) to secure the release of fellow artist Dammy Krane from police custody, emphasizing that Davido is not an oppressor.
VDM claimed that Dammy Krane was arrested at Davido’s request and shared these allegations in an Instagram post on Wednesday, where he described an incident at a police station.
In the video, VDM mentioned that he visited the station to thank the police for their assistance in his work.
During his visit, he overheard someone mention that a celebrity with dreadlocks was detained. Upon further investigation, VDM discovered that the individual was Dammy Krane.
He then addressed Davido directly: “David Adeleke, Davido, you’re my brother, my guy.
I know you’re a good person and not an oppressor. I understand you’ve been pushed to your limits, but I believe you’re not an oppressor.”
Regarding his discovery of Dammy Krane at the station, VDM recounted: “I told the policemen I wanted to see someone in the cell.
When the person came out, I realized it was Dammy Krane, who wasn’t the person I intended to see. He often insults me.”
VDM further explained that Dammy Krane informed him that Davido was responsible for his arrest.
VDM responded: “I asked why he was in jail, and he said it was because of Davido.
I told him, ‘Why wouldn’t he? You constantly attack him and his family without any evidence.
You accused him of owing you money and even mocked his name, all without proof.'”
VDM then appealed to Davido: “We all know you’ve been pushed to the edge, with your family being dragged through the mud, and baseless accusations tarnishing your reputation, even blaming you for a friend’s death.
Despite all this, Davido, I know you’re not an oppressor. Please, give him another chance. I will call you now.”
