Banky W relocates to US with family

Nigerian R&B star Bankole Wellington, popularly known as Banky W, has relocated to the United States with his family.

The Empire Mates Entertainment founder announced the move on Instagram, revealing that he will be pursuing a Master’s degree at Georgetown University in Washington, DC.

Sharing a photo of himself, his wife, actress Adesua Etomi-Wellington, and their child at the airport, Banky W asked his followers for their well-wishes as they begin this new chapter.

According to NEWS REVIEW, the 43-year-old artist, born in the US, married Adesua in 2017. He has run for the Eti-Osa Federal Constituency in Lagos State multiple times but did not win.

In his Instagram post, Banky W wrote, “For family. For finding purpose. For the next year of earning a Master’s degree in Policy Management at Georgetown University in Washington DC. Wish us well.”

Reacting in the comment section, his wife, Adesua, wrote, “Home is wherever you are.”

Several celebrities and fans also shared their best wishes for the family.
