Sanwo-Olu to Unveil 10 Ferries, Boosting Lagos Transport and Socioeconomic Growth
Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, is set to unveil 10 new ferries, bringing the total number of water transport vessels launched under his administration to 25.
The Commissioner for Information and Strategy, Gbenga Omotosho, made this announcement during the Joint Citizens Media Engagement Forum on Friday. He highlighted that these state-of-the-art ferries, built by Nigerian engineers, are not only efficient modes of transportation but also symbols of the nation’s potential.
Omotosho further emphasized the state government’s commitment to enhancing tourism, particularly building on the success of “Detty December.” He stated that Lagos has become a global benchmark for year-end celebrations, with festivities spanning from October to early January.
The Commissioner also acknowledged the significant infrastructure development undertaken by the Governor, including the inauguration of 35 roads and five bridges across the state, while assuring citizens of continued progress in this area.
