Media personality Toke Makinwa has strongly condemned singer 2Baba for publicly announcing his divorce from wife Annie Idibia after 12 years of marriage.
In an Instagram post on Sunday, 2Baba disclosed that the couple had been separated for some time and were now filing for divorce. Responding to the announcement, Makinwa called out 2Baba, saying, “This is wrong on all levels, and you should be ashamed of yourself for bringing this here. If you think she’s alone, you’ll have to fight all of us.”
Taking to her Instagram story, Makinwa criticized those staying neutral, warning that silence could have consequences for future generations of women.
She added, “No one is innocent. If you want to involve the media, we will fight for her. Timing and empathy are everything.”
Makinwa emphasized that while she supports leaving situations that no longer serve a purpose, airing private matters publicly worsens the narrative, especially when, as she hinted, the full truth remains hidden.
