Mohbad’s Friend Sues Late Singer’s Mother for Defamation, Demands N50 Million
Owodunni Ibrahim, popularly known as “Primeboy” and a childhood friend of the late singer Ilerioluwa Oladimeji Aloba, aka Mohbad, has filed a lawsuit against the singer’s mother, Abosede Aloba, over alleged defamation.
Mohbad passed away on September 12, 2023, and was buried the following day. His body was later exhumed for an autopsy on September 21, 2023. In October 2024, Primeboy threatened legal action against Abosede, accusing her of falsely claiming he had a dispute with Mohbad before his death.
In a legal notice shared partially on Instagram, Primeboy described Abosede’s remarks as “libelous, injurious, and malicious.” He is demanding ₦50 million in damages for what he claims to be false and defamatory statements made in a March 28, 2024, interview that was widely circulated online.
The notice further warns Abosede to respond within 42 days or risk the case proceeding in her absence.
