Gunmen Invade Delta Church During Night Vigil, Shoot Pastor, Sever His Fingers, Abduct Six Worshippers, and Flee to Unknown Location

Gunmen stormed Elyon Paradise Ministry Church in Asagba Ogwashi, Aniocha South Local Government Area of Delta State during a night vigil over the weekend, shooting the pastor and abducting six worshippers.

Delta State Police Public Relations Officer, Bright Edafe, confirmed the attack on Sunday, stating that a rescue team was in pursuit of the assailants.

The pastor, Apostle Divine Omodia, suffered gunshot wounds, and the attackers reportedly severed two of his fingers. He was rushed to an undisclosed hospital, where medical personnel are fighting to save his life.

As of now, the kidnappers have not contacted anyone to demand ransom for the abducted victims.
