A tragic accident claimed the lives of at least 16 people on Tuesday when a Mazda bus caught fire and exploded along the Buhari Estate axis of the Abeokuta-Sagamu Expressway.
According to Florence Okpe, spokesperson for the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) in Ogun, the incident occurred around 1:00 p.m. and involved a Mazda bus with registration number KJA 949 YJ. She stated that the fire outbreak, intensified by a filled gas cylinder inside the vehicle, led to the deadly explosion.
