Rivers Govt Assures Swift Implementation of Supreme Court Ruling Once Official Copy is Received, Dismisses Circulating Assembly Letter
PORT HARCOURT – The Rivers State government has pledged to promptly implement the Supreme Court’s judgment as soon as the Certified True Copy (CTC) is received.
In a statement issued Wednesday, the Secretary to the State Government, Dr. Tammy Danagogo, confirmed that the administration is in close contact with its legal team, which is still awaiting the official CTC.
Danagogo also addressed a letter circulating on social media, purportedly from the State Assembly and dated March 3. He clarified that his office, along with those of the governor, deputy governor, and accountant general, has yet to receive the document.
He further recalled Governor Siminalayi Fubara’s commitment, made during a state broadcast on Sunday, to implement the court’s decision despite his personal stance on the matter.
