Baba Tee Confesses to Sleeping with Lande’s Wife After Initially Denying Affair, Says He Was Drunk During ‘Truth or Dare’ Game and Claims It Was a Setup to Tarnish His Image
LAGOS, NIGERIA – In a dramatic reversal, popular Yoruba Nollywood actor Babatunde Tayo, known as Baba Tee, has confessed to a brief sexual encounter with Dara, the wife of comedian Ganiyu Morufu (Lande). The admission, made during a live interview with socialite Esabod and other TikTok users on Sunday, contradicts his previous vehement denials and legal threats.
This development follows Lande’s public allegations that his wife had been unfaithful with numerous men in the entertainment industry, including Baba Tee. Initially, Baba Tee refuted the claims, asserting he had only met Dara once, introduced as a content creator by actress Marygold. He challenged Lande to provide evidence, accusing him of defamation.
However, in the recent interview, Baba Tee admitted to the sexual encounter, attributing it to a drunken “Truth or Dare” game with Dara and Marygold. He claimed Marygold introduced Dara as a content creator, not as Lande’s wife, and that the incident was a “set-up” to damage his reputation.
“When Marygold and Dara came to my house…She introduced Dara as a content creator and not as Lande’s wife,” Baba Tee stated. “Marygold now dared Dara to let me have a ‘quick’ sexual intercourse with her and she (Dara) obliged.”
He further explained, “So, the reason I said I never slept with Lande’s wife was because Marygold never introduced her as that to me, she called her a content creator. I will not deny that I had a short sexual intercourse with her, it is the first time I am saying it.”
Following the interview, Esabod advised Baba Tee to apologize to Lande. On Monday, Baba Tee issued a public apology on his Facebook page, writing, “I am deeply sorry from the bottom of my heart, brother, Lande. Deep how Dara became Lande’s wife without my knowledge…Hmmm. I fear women.”
Marygold, Lande’s manager, is alleged to have recorded the incident between Baba Tee and Dara.
