Jandor at Umrah 2025: Prays for Lagos and Nigeria, Completes Pilgrimage, and Returns to APC Ahead of 2027 Elections
LAGOS, NIGERIA – Dr. Olajide Adediran, popularly known as Jandor, has completed his Umrah pilgrimage in Mecca, where he prayed for Lagos State, its residents, and Nigeria. The former Lagos governorship candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) officially rejoined the All Progressives Congress (APC) on March 17, 2025, ahead of the 2027 elections.
Jandor, who resigned from the PDP on March 3, cited party indiscipline, betrayal by its leadership, and misleading alliance claims as reasons for his exit.
His spokesperson, Gbenga Ogunleye, stated that the pilgrimage was a reflection of Jandor’s deep faith and commitment to the progress of Lagos and Nigeria, especially during the holy month of Ramadan.
During his prayers, Jandor sought divine guidance for leaders, security for Lagosians, and the overall development of the nation. He emphasized unity, justice, and governance that prioritizes the people’s welfare.
Jandor’s return to the APC marks a significant political shift in Lagos, potentially reshaping the state’s political dynamics ahead of the 2027 elections.
