AMVCA 2025: Africa Magic Unveils Nominees for Prestigious Awards Honoring Excellence in Film, TV, and Digital Content

The organizers of the Africa Magic Viewers’ Choice Awards (AMVCA) have officially announced the nominees for the 2025 edition of the prestigious annual awards. The nominations celebrate excellence in film, television, and digital content, recognizing works released between January 1 and December 31, 2024.

Top Contenders

Leading the nominations this year are Lisabi: The Uprising, Skeleton Coast, House of Ga’a, and Freedom Way, securing multiple nominations across various categories, including Best Movie and Best Director.

In the acting categories, Gideon Okeke (Tokunbo), Stan Nze (Suspicion), Femi Adebayo (Seven Doors), and Adedimeji Lateef (Lisabi: The Uprising) are competing for Best Lead Actor. Meanwhile, Chioma Chukwuka (Seven Doors), Bimbo Ademoye (Anikulapo: Rise of the Spectre), and Uche Montana (Thinline) are among those vying for Best Lead Actress.
