Governor Adeleke Reduces 24-Hour Curfew to 17 Hours in Ifon, Ilobu, and Erin-Osun to Ease Hardship Amid Ongoing Land Dispute Crisis
Osun State Governor, Ademola Adeleke, has eased the 24-hour curfew imposed on Ifon, Ilobu, and Erin-Osun, reducing it to 17 hours to allow residents to attend to their personal needs.
In a statement on Friday, the governor’s spokesperson, Olawale Rasheed, announced that the new curfew hours—2 PM to 7 AM—take immediate effect.
Governor Adeleke cited the decision as a relief measure for affected residents while maintaining a strong stance against violence. He condemned reports of another killing, despite a relative calm, and warned that perpetrators would face legal consequences.
The governor also instructed the joint security task force to sustain 24-hour surveillance and directed the state emergency agency to bolster support for displaced persons.
