JAMB Reschedules 2025 UTME to April 24, Urges Candidates to Print Exam Slips from April 19 and Visit Centres Early
The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has officially announced a shift in the commencement date of the 2025 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME). The exam will now begin on Thursday, April 24, 2025, instead of the earlier date of Friday, April 25, 2025.
This was revealed in a statement signed by JAMB’s Public Communication Advisor, Fabian Benjamin, and shared via the Board’s official X handle on Saturday.

According to the statement, the adjustment was made to accommodate “essential commitments” involving the Board and its partner agencies.
In preparation for the exam, JAMB also disclosed that candidates can now begin printing their Examination Notification Slips from Saturday, April 19, 2025 (today). The slip contains key details such as the exam date, venue, time, and other important instructions for a smooth examination experience.

“To print their slips, candidates are to visit www.jamb.gov.ng, click on ‘2025 UTME Slip Printing,’ enter their registration number, and proceed to print,” the statement explained.
The Board strongly advised candidates to visit their assigned centres at least a day or two before their examination date to familiarize themselves with the location.
JAMB emphasized that no candidate will be posted outside their chosen examination town, reaffirming its commitment to ensuring candidates write the exam within their selected locations.
Candidates are encouraged to act promptly to avoid last-minute challenges.
