Mr. Titus Odo, Publicity Secretary of the Labour Party (LP) in Enugu State, has defected to the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
Odo returned to the PDP on Wednesday alongside Prince Emeka Mamah, former Commissioner for Chieftaincy Affairs and State Coordinator of the Peter Obi Presidential Campaign during the 2023 elections.
The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) recalls that both men had left the PDP for the LP during the 2023 general elections.

They were received at the PDP State Secretariat by the party’s State Chairman, Dr. Martin Chukwunwike, who expressed delight at their return.
Chukwunwike revealed that their defection followed a directive by Governor Peter Mbah to reconcile with aggrieved party members who left for various reasons.
“We are happy to have them back. God is positioning our party strongly as we prepare for 2027,” the chairman stated, while also calling for unity within the party.
Speaking at the event, Odo described his return as a homecoming, citing Governor Mbah’s developmental strides as his motivation.
“I am happy to be back home. Gov. Mbah’s projects inspired me. Also, the defection of my former boss, Dr. Chijioke Edeoga, and the transformation of Igboeze North by Council Chairman Uchenna Ogara encouraged my return,” Odo said.
On his part, Mamah thanked the PDP leadership at all levels for accepting him back and praised Governor Mbah’s inclusive leadership.
“I am impressed with the governor’s performance and his willingness to reunite the party,” he stated.
