The Dangote Petroleum Refinery has announced a reduction in petrol prices, attributing the move to the Federal Government’s naira-for-crude oil initiative. The company said this development has led to lower pump prices for Nigerian consumers.

In a statement released on Monday and signed by its Group Chief Branding and Communications Officer, Anthony Chiejina, Dangote Refinery assured that petrol prices would remain affordable and stable, despite ongoing volatility in global crude oil markets.

“We are immensely grateful to President Bola Tinubu for making this possible through the commendable naira-for-crude initiative, which has enabled us to consistently reduce the price of petroleum products for the benefit of all Nigerians,” the statement read.

The company reiterated its commitment to supporting the Nigerian economy and easing the burden on citizens through stable pricing. It emphasized that its pricing decisions align with the Federal Government’s ‘Nigeria First Policy’, which encourages the use of locally-produced goods and services.

“By refining petroleum products domestically at the world’s largest single-train refinery, we are proud to make a substantial contribution to Nigeria’s energy security, foreign exchange savings, and overall economic resilience,” the company said.

Dangote Refinery also reaffirmed its support for President Bola Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda, pledging continuous dedication to operational excellence, sustainability, and national development.

The company concluded by assuring all stakeholders—consumers, partners, and the government—of its unwavering focus on affordability, quality, and the national interest.
